Logistics team within the Hitachi ABB Power Grids / Core Manufacturing Center, in Dilovası / Kocaeli / Turkey. Reporting to the Factory Planning and Fulfillment Manager, you will provide support to the wider business by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures.

Your background

• University graduate.
• Excellent command of English language both written and speaking.
• Experience in ERP systems, preferably in SAP.
• Available for domestic or international travels.
• Very strong communication and analytical skills.
• Military service completed for the male candidates.
• More than 2 years of experience in purchasing, working as a Purchasing Specialist will be an asset.
• Demonstrated experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Knowledge of  SAP.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills. 

Your responsibilities

• Purchasing materials on behalf of the Business according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms.  
• Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures. 
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions.  
• Supporting the bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information.  
• Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues.  
• Identifying and qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.  
• Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
