QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description
We are looking for a Category Expert to join our Purchasing Team in Bursa with a temporary contract, for the following responsibilities:
- Implement the indirect purchasing processes ensuring compliance requirements, delivery of category and subcategory results
- Develop the specific expertise, including market know-how, sourcing methods and competences, for the defined scope
- Drive competition / further develop and apply negotiation expertise
- Preparation and approval of purchasing decisions (S2C) / contracts in accordance with the signature regulations
- Stakeholder management as per assigned scope, managing escalations
- Category: Logistics Services - Warehousing and Empties Management, Transport Services
- Contribute to a global material field strategy applying strategic management tools ensuring the balance of quality, cost, deliveries
- Sourcing Management by implementation of global strategies for the defined category by ensuring compliance requirements. Carry out market analysis, Preparation and execution of tenders (RFI / RFQ), Design of negotiation strategy and execution under competition as well as w/o competition, Preparation and approval of purchasing decisions / contracts in accordance with the signature regulations, Manage suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance, incl. data quality, evaluation- incl. risk management as well as contract management etc.
- Continous cooperation with the Logistics Centre respectively logistics transport departments
Qualifications
- University degree and 5 years minimum professional experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts Management, or equivalent role
- Experience in logistics – esp. purchasing of Warehouse and Logistics Transport service
- Negotiation skills (also in difficult situations), experence with purchasing methods and IT tools for Indirect Purchasing, Cost analysis within Indirect Purchasing. Contract- and price negotiations skills.
- Contract law and legal requirements, compliance, Project management and moderation skills
- Project management skills and capability to efficiently manage multiple projects
- Effective listening and communication (verbally and writing) with stakeholders on various hierarchy levels. Good cross-functional coordination and strong commercial mindset
- Business fluent English, Turkish and/or German
- Willingness to travel
