Company Description
Ethis is an award-winning Islamic crowdinvesting platform with operations in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Oman. We are launching a debt-based crowdfunding platform that connects SMEs wanting to raise funding for their working capital needs with investors that are sensitive to Islamic law and wanting to earn Sukuk-like returns. Our platform will be licensed and regulated by the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye. 

Role Description
This is a remote contract role for an Investment Committee Member to be part of a four person committee. The Investment Committee is responsible for evaluating and approving campaigns prior to publishing it on the platform. 

As a digital finance marketplace, we neither provide credit nor give investment advice. Our responsibility is to ensure that campaigns are vetted in line with the credit evaluation policy. 

We rely on technology to automate and streamline our credit assessment and monitoring processes. Our technology helps the Investment Committee fulfil their responsibility. Given we are starting out in Türkiye, this role is remote and ad-hoc (on a per campaign basis) as we build our pipeline of SMEs. We don't expect the time commitment will exceed 3-5 hours per week.

Qualifications
• Must have a valid SPL Credit Rating License
• A valid SPL Capital Markets License level 3 a plus
• Must have at least 5 years work experience in credit/risk management
• Strong communication skills both verbal and oral
• Experience working with Islamic finance principles is preferred
