QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Koç University will be hiring a Global Projects and Education Programs Specialist for the Office of International Programs with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university and a master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum 3-4 years of previous work experience
- Strong project management skills
- Previous experience with project management and event planning is necessary
- Excellent verbal and written English and Turkish skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to accuracy and editing
- Interpersonal skills, punctuality, strong work ethics and excellent time management skills, adherence to deadlines
- Having previous work experience in an international environment is a plus
- Multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment, handle a large workload, and multiple priorities
- Ability in multitasking, prioritizing and organization
- Eagerness to learn new trends and constantly research new best practices
- Previous experience in budget management is a must
- Familiarity with Erasmus+ KA2 & KA3 grants is a must
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is a must
- Working knowledge of Canva is a plus
- Working knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Ability to create content for and manage social media

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Collaborating with the International Projects and Education Programs team, defining the yearly strategy and the content of OIP’s international learning programs & projects
- International project development and seeking project grants
- Assisting various departments on Erasmus+ KA2 & KA3 projects and other types of externally funded projects; organizing info sessions & holding one-to-one meetings on the rules and regulations of the programs
- Assisting in finding partners for prospective projects
- Writing project proposals / Supervising writing and budgeting stages of the project proposals
- Managing the administrative parts of granted projects (i.e. logistical arrangements, budget management, reporting etc.)
- Involving Koç University in international projects that are run by international partners & running administrative aspects of these projects
- Providing training to / supervising Koç University students about project grants
- Taking part in the organization of the various types of special education programs such as custom-made programs, short-term international programs, joint short-term programs, etc., with partner institutions, and managing all communication, organization and reporting processes of minimum and not limited to one or two programs every year.
- Managing and running activities throughout the academic calendar in collaboration with parties within the university and in the ecosystem
- Conducting other tasks and preparing reports as seen appropriate by the unit manager / team leader
