Duties & Responsibilities
Provide professional support to the Kitchen in the following:
- To ensure that the uniform provided is kept clean, presentable and in good condition, ensuring personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team
- To check and supervise all aspects of the kitchen
- Work closely with his supervisor department head on determining the quantity of food purchased and prepared for daily business with a view to exercise the maximum control on wastage and achieve optimum profitability.
- To ensure that all products have been delivered and to inform his supervisor of any short delivery and also to check if any products are not the standard of quality required.
- Check that all the refrigerators are cleaned, set-up the work station for the day.
- To observe and test foods being served
- Check and involves steward department in general cleanliness sanitation and staff personal cleanliness and hygiene.
- To ensure the proper handling of all food items in accordance with health and hygiene procedures
- To report anything that may be considered a health or hygiene hazard
- To participate in training programmes
- To consider the availability of all raw food items and order items accordingly
- To participate in receiving and checking incoming good
- Coach and inform his/her staff on any new menu, new method, special events and follow up on any problems or situation that needs improvement.

- Works and ensures colleagues work in compliance with Safe, Sound & Sustainable guidelines.
- To carry out any reasonable requests as directed by your manager.
Requirements:
- Previous work experience in the same position in a five star hotel or similar restaurant for a minimum of 5 years.
- Successful incumbent must have good knowledge of English spoken and written language, as well as Turkish.
- Ability to motivate team and build morale
- Accepts responsibility and accountability
