QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Bachelor/Master in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, electronics and software
Technical or engineering university degree or comparable qualification
Good knowledge of vehicle / bus technology
Knowledge of international technical legislation and/or high motivation to build a wide knowledge for legislations
Confidently negotiate and present controversial topics in a difficult environment
Very good communicative skills and team playing spirit
Extensive experience in vehicle homologation in Europe and / or export markets is a strong asset
Knowledge of the type approval system according to 2018/858, FMVSS and GSO is an asset
Very good verbal and written knowledge of English. German is a strong asset
Good IT skills (MS Office applications)

The aim of homologation is to prove compliance with the relevant regulations in order to be able to place vehicles on the market:
We are responsible for the homologation of all vehicles for the Turkish, Gulf Corporation Council and North America markets.
We provide transparency, information and ensure communication about homologation-relevant and non-homologation-relevant technical regulation changes (regulation updates, homologation database + IDB update) without national homologation rel. Regulations Germany (e.g. Verkehrsblatt (VkBl), Federal Law Gazette (BGBl))
We evaluate homologation-relevant and non-homologation-relevant design changes and special customer requests
We are responsible for the standard system approval R 118 including associated expert training.
We advise export homologation exports on homologation of all vehicles of global markets
We are responsible for the operation and further development of the homologation database
