Manufacturing Engineer – Lead/Advanced Lead

Turkiye Technology Center is looking for “Manufacturing Engineer – Lead/Advanced Lead” and offering them the opportunity to work with state-of-art technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft and industrial engine repair processes, in a technology base located in Gebze, Kocaeli which is being established by General Electric Aviation, GE MTC (General Electric Marmara Technology Center) and TEI (Tusaş Engine Industries, Inc.).

Essential Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Support low volume test part/ prototype manufacturing activities in his/her technical domain to support NPI and legacy programs
• Actively participate into planning, execution and risk assessment activities for meeting program goals and timeline
• Define and control production process including tooling and equipment for specialized processes
• Facilitate and drive process improvements to meet business metrics
• Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment
• Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
• Works together with shop operators, quality and SPB level manufacturing engineers
• Leads development projects using proven technologies and methods
• Effectively document and communicate results by preparing written reports and delivering oral presentations

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university
• Min. 5 years of experience in turning/milling process development and implementation with hands-on experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings, and specifications
• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven self-starter and independent worker who can work with cross-functional teams
• Good level of written and oral communication skills in English

• On machine probing knowledge and programming experience
